KOZHIKODE: Police registered another case in connection with Janakikad gang rape case after it emerged that the 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped again after the first incident at the eco-tourism centre on Oct 3.
Peruvannamuzhi police registered a new case following her statement that she was raped by two persons on Oct 16 at Chembanoda.
The accused in the second case were Rahul Thaminjal (22), who is among the four arrested accused in the first gang rape case, and Mervin hailing from Kayakkodi. Perambra deputy SP on Friday arrested Mervin (22). He was produced before Kozhikode Pocso special court and remanded in custody for 14 days.
