CHON BURI - A minor fire broke out inside a clinic in central Pattaya on Saturday night, but was quickly put out. Nobody was hurt.

The Pattaya City administration despatched four fire engines to a clinic on Pattaya Sai 3 road after being informed that a fire had broken out at about 11pm.

The fire started at Urgent Care Clinic in a four-storey commercial building.  Smoke was seen billowing from the third and fourth floor of the clinic.

The firemen cordoned off the area and went inside the building.  They found a pile of wood burning on the second floor.  The fire was put out shortly afterward.

Nobody was hurt and little damage was done to the property.

Pattani Kocharit, 43, the owner of an animal clinic nearby, said she alerted the fire brigade after smelling that something was burning and feeling heat coming from the second floor.

Urgent Care Clinic opened recently and was still being refurbished.  The police were investigating the cause of the fire.
