Mino Raiola tells Liverpool two things Erling Haaland wants from future transfer

Mino Raiola has revealed the two key factors that his client Erling Haaland will choose his next club based on.

The Norwegian international is one of European football’s hottest properties having averaged around a goal a game for the past two seasons.

The 20-year-old has netted 53 goals in 56 games for Dortmund since joining the German side in January 2020 from Red Bull Salzburg, where he struck 29 times in 27 outings.

That impressive form has resulted in the forward being linked with a host of tops clubs around Europe, including Liverpool.

Salzburg Sporting Director Christoph Freund claimed back in November that Haaland ‘will land’ at the Reds instead of Manchester United or even Real Madrid if he leaves the Bundesliga club.

“He will land there,” he told Sky90 when asked about Liverpool as a possible destination for his former striker.

“He can play for any club in the world. With his mentality, his will and self confidence, he will be able to make a mark on European football in the next ten years.”

While the MEN claims that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and football director John Murtough have settled on the Dortmund forward as their top striker priority this summer.

And now Raiola has reiterated the striker's plans for the future and revealed any move will be determined by his chances of scoring goals and winning trophies.

"Haaland is interested in two things: scoring goals - because he is like a Cristiano or a Zlatan, he has that positive obsession - and winning titles," the super agent told AS.

"He will choose, surely, where those two things together happen more. It is very difficult to lie.

“When a club like Barcelona or Madrid arrives, with so much history and so great, it is difficult to say no.

“PSG is entering this group of greats, City is trying to get there, Juve has always been there.

"The championship they play also matters. PSG plays the worst league of the greats. Bayern are already in an attractive league, but we know that they always win it. In Spain there are three with options."

While Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc claimed last month that the German club have no plans to sell Haaland this summer.

He said: "Our position is clear: we are planning with Erling. We are very relaxed about that. Of course, we have been following the situation. But we had a very, very good talk with Mino and his father just recently.

"I don't want to go into those talks now. From a certain point on, we may no longer be able to influence what the future will bring."
