Mino Raiola's defiant Erling Haaland transfer message to Man Utd and other suitors

Mino Raiola claims he has "clear ideas" about where Erling Haaland will be playing his football next year.

The Borussia Dortmund star has continued his rapid rise in Germany since moving there from Red Bull Salzburg back in 2020.

It was with the Austrian side that Haaland first put himself on the map and caught the attention of Europe's heavyweights.

Many of them remain keen on signing the Norwegian, who is tipped to be one of the game's leading stars for the next decade.

Manchester United were heavily linked with Haaland before he moved to the Bundesliga.

Their neighbours Manchester City are also touted as a possible destination, with Pep Guardiola still without a marquee striker.

Real Madrid too have been linked as have cash-strapped Barcelona.

A release clause in Haaland's contract is seen as common knowledge nowadays and Raiola has been planning his client's next move.

"We have been thinking about his future for two years," Raiola told SPORT1. "We have clear ideas about where he should go and, of course, we look at what the market will offer.

"With a player like him, we can influence the market, we will not be influenced.

"I changed the transfer market and today we agents have created a new game alongside football: the transfer market. Today two days a week we talk about football, in the other five about the transfer market."

At Dortmund Haaland has continued to produce incredible numbers, scoring 74 times in 72 games.

Any United move for the 21-year-old would see them negotiate with Raiola, who has been outspoken in his desire to get Paul Pogba out of Old Trafford.

Ralf Rangnick, now United's interim boss and a man who previously played a role in signing Haaland, cleared up any suggestions that he had been tasked with signing the striker.

He said: "This is nonsense obviously, just to answer the second question. Of course, there are no such clauses."

Guardiola and Haaland's agent meanwhile also have a chequered past with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of Raiola's clients, playing under him at Barcelona.

Raiola previously said on the Catalan: "Pep Guardiola, the coach, is fantastic. As a person he's an absolute zero. He's a coward, a dog."

Real Madrid meanwhile have their sights set on Kylian Mbappe, who could leave PSG on a free.

However, despite claims from Florentino Perez that Los Blancos are not the financial force they were, Raiola believes they could pursue Haaland.

He said: "Real Madrid can afford Erling Haaland. They have money to sign him."
