Mino Raiola issues Paul Pogba statement as midfielder seeks Manchester United exit

Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has given an update on his client amid uncertainty surrounding the Manchester United player.

Pogba is currently in Australia for United's pre-season tour after missing the first week of training at the club.

He had been absent for the first week of pre-season after being given permission by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Frenchman said last month that "now could be a good time to find a new challenge" after the club missed out on the Champions League for the new season.

Raiola has now given a statement to Jim White on talkSPORT.

It read: “The player [Pogba] has done nothing wrong.

“He has been respectful and professional in every way and always. The club has known his feeling for a long time.

“It is a shame other people only like to criticise without the right information, and I am also sorry that the club does not take any position against this.

“Hopefully there will be soon a satisfying solution for all parties.”

Raiola had previously told The Times: "Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are."

"Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul's wishes."

Real Madrid have been linked with the midfielder this summer but MEN Sport understands that United have no plans to allow Pogba to leave this summer.
