Mino Raiola 'had no reply to Sir Alex Ferguson's question about Paul Pogba'

Former Italian footballer Antonio Cassano has claimed that Mino Raiola didn't know the type of player Paul Pogba was when asked by legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, before then facilitating his move from Manchester United to Juventus.

Pogba left Old Trafford in 2012 after becoming dissatisfied with his lack of first team opportunities at United and joined Serie A giants Juve where he went on to realise his potential and become one of the world's best midfielders.

As a result, United broke the world transfer record to bring him back to Manchester four years later in a £94.5million move.

But the Frenchman has since struggled to consistently replicate the form he showed in Turin.

'Super agent' Raiola represented Pogba in both moves and continues to do so today as he caused a stir last month by suggesting that Pogba's second stint at United was over.

Raiola name-checked Juventus as a possible destination for his client and former forward Cassano has shared insight on how his first move to the Old Lady transpired.

“I know that when he still had to debut with Manchester United, Mino Raiola went to Ferguson asking him for a lot of money to get him to sign the contract," Cassano claimed, speaking to Bobo TV via  Sport Witness.

"Ferguson asked the agent if he knew what kind of player Pogba was, and Raiola replied by saying no.

“He cared little, those were their requests and if they were not met they would go away. Without batting an eye, Ferguson ruled that Pogba could also go away.”
