Mino Raiola confirms Erling Haaland transfer destinations and throws dig at Man Utd

Mino Raiola has revealed there is a "big chance" Erling Haaland will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The 21-year-old's agent has also confirmed Manchester City have a "significantly" greater chance at signing the striker than rivals Manchester United.

Haaland has been linked with several top European clubs in the last 18 months following his sensational form for club and country.

He's scored 74 goals in 72 games for Dortmund since joining the club from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020, helping them win the German Cup last term.

Haaland has also bagged 12 goals in 15 senior appearances for Norway since making his debut in September 2019.

The youngster's outstanding performances have seen him named Bundesliga Player of the Season, Golden Boy and Champions League Forward of the Season.

Speaking to German outlet Sport1 via Sky Sports, Raiola revealed Haaland's transfer plans.

"Maybe this summer, maybe the summer after," said the agent when asked. "But there is a big chance that Erling will leave this summer.

"We will see. He can and will take the next step."

Wen asked about Haaland's next destination, Raiola added: "Bayern [Munich], Real [Madrid], Barcelona, Manchester City - these are the big clubs he can go to.

"City have won the championship five times in the last few years, much more than [Man] United."

Raiola relationship with United is thought to have strained in recent years due to Paul Pogba's contract situation.

The Frenchman's deal runs out at the end of the year and he is yet to finalise an extension, with many believing his time at Old Trafford is up.

When asked about Dortmund's thoughts on the transfer saga, Raiola replied: "We all knew when we moved to Dortmund that this step would come.

"We will tell BVB what our idea is and BVB will tell us their ideas. But no decision will be made in the winter.

"He is someone who wants to develop, who is looking for new challenges. And of course it's also a question of the alternative. You only change if you have a better alternative."

Haaland is rumoured to have a release clause between £55million and £77m in his contract, but Raiola was reluctant to confirm this.

"Whatever is in a contract is in a contract," said the agent. "That remains between me and the player.

"There are only two parties who are allowed to say something to the outside world - the club and the player. I never talk about details.

"We and Dortmund know exactly what has to happen. We have structured it very clearly.

"Contract or not, we always have very open communication with [club chiefs Hans-Joachim] Watzke, [Michael] Zorc and now [Sebastian] Kehl.

"We deal with each other honestly. That is much more important than anything written on paper.

"Paper is only there if something goes wrong, then you need that. But not otherwise."
