Mino Raiola breaks silence on Matthijs de Ligt transfer after being pictured in Paris

Mino Raiola has dismissed claims he has held talks with PSG over the transfer of Matthijs de Ligt.

The Ajax defender is in demand this summer with a host of clubs tipped to be interested after his excellent campaign for the Dutch champions.

Barcelona have failed to reach an agreement despite making contact last season while Manchester United remain interested.

But reports this week suggested Raiola was travelling to France to conclude a deal with PSG.

An image also emerged online, appearing to show Raiola in Paris on Wednesday with French journalist Lassana Camara.

But Raiola has broken his silence and handed a boost to Barcelona and United that they could still land the Dutch teenager.

"This is the classic example of fake news,’ Raiola told Italian outlet ANSA.

"The photograph of me and the French journalist in Paris? He asked me to take a picture together, but I did not know who this gentleman was.

"I have never spoken with him."

Raiola's comments come after his worldwide transfer ban was suspended after an appeal to CAS.

The 51-year-old was handed a three-month ban from all football activity by FIFA but he is now free to resume after launching the appeal.

A final decision is expected at the start of July meaning Raiola is likely to press ahead with transfers for his key clients before then.

Raiola is still banned from Italy after the initial suspension came from the Italian Football Federation.

Paul Pogba is also represented by super-agent Raiola and could be on his way to Real Madrid , with Manchester United looking for £105m for the midfielder.
