Mino Raiola asks Manchester United to sell Paul Pogba next month

Mino Raiola claimed that Paul Pogba is 'unhappy' and urged Manchester United to sell him in the January transfer window, as a new segment of his now eagerly awaited interview with Tuttosport emerged on Monday night.

Raiola, Pogba's agent, caused a stir on Monday after he suggested his client's time at United was coming to an end.

"I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United," Raiola said in an interview with Italian publication Tuttosport, which will be published in full on Tuesday.

The comments came to light just two days after Pogba's best performance of the season so far in the 3-1 victory over West Ham, in which he scored a stunning equaliser, as well as on the eve of United's massive final Champions League group game against RB Leipzig, in which they need to avoid defeat to secure their place in the last-16.

"It is useless to go around it," Raiola said. "Better to speak clearly, look ahead and not waste time looking for culprits: Paul at Manchester United is unhappy, he is no longer able to express himself as he would like and as expected of him.

"He has to change teams, he has to change the air. It has a contract that will expire in a year and a half, in the summer of 2022, but I think the best solution for the parties is to sell it to the next market.

"Otherwise, the Old Trafford club, with whom relations are excellent, knows well that they would risk losing him on a free transfer, given that for the moment it is not the player's intention to extend the contract.

"If someone doesn't understand it, ergo they understand very little about football. In any case, let them blame me if Paul leaves next summer."
