Minnie Driver finds a buyer for her home in Hollywood Hills

Dec. 09--Minnie Driver, star of the TV series "About a Boy," has sold her Hollywood Hills home for $1.5 million.

The Spanish-style house, built in 1926 and boasting original details, features a central courtyard. Designed for outdoor entertaining, the colorful garden courtyard has a fireplace, terra-cotta pavers and accents of vintage Mexican tile.

The 3,055 square feet of living space contains formal living and dining rooms, a sunroom office, a wine cellar, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The breakfast area opens to a dining terrace with canyon views. Among other features are custom woodwork, custom tile and a fireplace in the wood-beamed living room.

Driver, 44, stars in several 2014 films, including "Return to Zero," "Stage Fright" and "Beyond the Lights." She was nominated for an Oscar for her supporting role in "Good Will Hunting" (1997).

The singer-songwriter recently released "Ask Me to Dance," her third album.

The property previously changed hands in 1998 for $775,000, public records show. She sold because she bought another home in the Los Angeles area.

Joe Reichling and Boni Bryant of Sotheby's International Realty were the listing agents. Leyla Blumenfeld of Nest Seekers represented the buyer.
