Minnesota Vikings sign former Redskins WR Josh Doctson

Former Washington Redskins receiver Josh Docston will be playing alongside at least one old teammate when the 2019 NFL season kicks off, according to Adam Schefter.

On Monday, the Minnesota Vikings reached an agreement to sign Doctson after he went unclaimed on the waiver wire following his release from the Redskins. With the Vikings, Doctson will be reunited with old teammate Kirk Cousins.

Cousins and Doctson played for a handful of years together in Washington, though they never developed a great connection on the field. Now, alongside star receivers Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, Doctson will have the type of play-making and leadership around him that he can try to embody.

We’ll have to wait and see if a new home is just what Doctson needed to get his NFL career back onto the right foot.
