Minnesota Twins infielder Trevor Plouffe finds a home in Hidden Hills

Jan. 29--Local baseball product and Minnesota Twins infielder Trevor Plouffe has bought a house in the Hidden Hills area for $2.45 million.

Trimmed in white and brick siding, the updated ranch-style house sits on more than an acre with a swimming pool and drought tolerant gardens. A horse barn and turn-out are also within the tree-topped grounds.

Inside, nearly 4,500 square feet of space on a single floor includes formal living and dining rooms, a center-island kitchen and a bonus room/office with a fireplace. Beamed ceilings, French doors and wood and tile floors are among the interior details.

A wide patio area and a two-car garage complete the setting.

The house came on the market in July for $2.55 million, records show.

Jacqueline Stanford and Jordan Liam Davies of Keller Williams Realty were the listing agents. Gigi Santoro-Robbins of Hall Chambers represented the buyer, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

Plouffe, 29, was a standout at Crespi Carmelite High School and was taken in the first round of the 2004 amateur draft by the Twins. The jack-of-all-trades player hit .244 with 22 home runs for Minnesota last year, seeing time at first and third base.
