Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck crowd surfed in the locker room after beating Penn State

Despite starting the season 8-0, the Minnesota Golden Gophers didn’t crack the top 15 in the initial College Football Playoff rankings, and entered Saturday as a 6.5-point underdog at home against No. 4 Penn State.

P.J. Fleck’s team responded with a statement win over the Nittany Lions – and the Golden Gophers should control their own destiny in the Playoff race, with major games against Iowa, Wisconsin, and a potential championship matchup with Ohio State yet to come.

Fleck, who recently signed a seven-year contract extension with Minnesota, celebrated with his team after the game by crowdsurfing in the locker room.

Minnesota will go on the road to play Iowa next weekend.
