Simon Harris has confirmed he is expecting his second child with his wife Caoimhe.
The couple are currently on a holiday in the west of Ireland as the Dail enjoys a summer break.
And the Minister for Further and Higher Education shared the news with his 170,000 Instagram followers and said that he is "excited" to welcome a "little brother or sister" for his first daughter Saoirse.
Mr Harris has not confirmed when the youngster is expected but did say they were due "soon".
He wrote on Instagram: "In the West on a short break and the last before Saoirse becomes a big sister!
"Our new arrival is due soon.
"Caoimhe and I are excited and looking forward to Saoirse having a little brother or sister."
Mr Harris married his wife Caoimhe Wade, a cardiac nurse, in 2017, before welcoming their first daughter Saoirse in 2019.
And the family are currently enjoying a "staycation" in Co Mayo with the Fine Gael TD sharing some snaps of the idyllic scenery over the weekend.
He added: "We really do live in such a beautiful country. Hope you are getting some time this weekend to enjoy it. Have a good Bank Holiday Weekend."
