BHOPAL: At 9.5 degrees Celsius, the night temperature remained lowest of the season so far in the state at Mandla on Sunday. Mercury dipped to 13 degrees Celsius in the state capital. Temperature may dip further for a day more before it makes a marginal rise between Monday and Friday, say Met office.
Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle said, the wind pattern may change for a few days after Monday leading to marginal rise in the temperatures. The temperatures would dip again by weekend once the winds are again set to northerly.
The day temperature in Bhopal on Sunday was recorded at 29.3 degrees Celsius, two degrees less than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 13.0 degrees Celsius, four degrees less than the normal mark. Wind direction in the city was north easterly and average wind speed was 10 kilometers per hour.
Lowest temperature in the state was recorded at 9.5 degrees Celsius in Mandla. It was lowest of the season so far in the state. In the forecast for Bhopal on Monday the meteorological officials said, there would be clear sky and dry weather will prevail in the city. Day and night temperature in the city would be respectively at 29 degrees Celsius and14 degrees Celsius while average wind speed will be14 kmph. In the forecast for state meteorological officials said, dry weather would prevail in the state and there will be no major change from the existing weather conditions. No weather warning was issued for anywhere in the state, officials added.
