SAMUT PRAKAN: Phra Pradaeng police are looking for the driver of a minibus after its automatic door cut the top off a student's ring finger.

Attawee Kaewthanatsiri, a first-year student of Saowabha Vocational School, registered his complaint at the Phra Pradeang police station on Thursday night, accusing the driver of causing him injury.

He said he took the No.82 bus (Pahurat-Phra Padaeng), which provides a public service but is run by a private company, from his school near Pak Khlong Talat to his house in Samut Prakan. As he was getting off near Phra Padaeng intersection, the back automatic door unexpectedly closed and cut through the bone of his left ring finger just above the third knuckle.

The student said he could not remember the bus's vehicle number or its licence plate.

He went to Paolo Phra Pradaeng Hospital for treatment before going to the police station.

Pol Capt Niran Sawassri said police are checking the bus terminal in Phra Pradaeng and the CCTV footage to try to find the bus and interview the driver.
