A miniature theme park, Small Worlds Tokyo, will open in the Ariake district in Tokyo on April 25, recreating towns from the anime world using miniature models, according to leisure facility operator Small Worlds Inc.

The facility is about 8,000 square meters and has four areas, with a main area featuring the streets included in the popular anime shows "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon."

In the Evangelion section, some of the attractions utilize augmented reality and virtual reality videos.

A miniature sized model of Shuri Castle, which was burned down in Okinawa Prefecture last month, will be exhibited at the park.

The price of admission is 2,700 yen for an adult.
