Mini Christmas trees through the post will raise funds for Barnardos

Online flower delivery company Prestige Flowers is launching a campaign supporting Barnardos.

Prestige will be launching a mini Christmas tree in partnership with Barnardos on the November 11 to help vulnerable children be more included in the festive joys leading up to Christmas.

The letterbox Christmas trees will come in a DIY pack where children will get to decorate and personalise them.

Prestige Flowers have already donated over £150,000 to help the most desperate families needing help in the UK.

A spokesman said: "Covid has been a tough year for everyone, especially the vulnerable children Barnardos look after, who have been shielding for over five months. We hope the mini trees will give the children excitement around the festive period.

"The tree-building exercise is also a way of developing self-confidence and self-esteem by having something they created on show, something to be proud of, and a festive decoration, which can become a mantelpiece that they can place in their rooms.

"The trees will be available for the public to buy from the 11th of November, it will make a great gift for loved ones you might not be able to see in these tough and unprecedented times but you could help them get in the festive spirits. It would also great for office/ deskspace to nd get excited for the best time of the year.

"For every tree bought, not only will Prestige Flowers plant another tree, but we will also donate 25% of the value directly to help the UK's most vulnerable families and children in these unprecedented times."
