Minecraft experts wanted with £500 on offer in Parkdean contest

One lucky Minecraft player could be in line for a big prize, as the holiday park owner Parkdean Resorts launches a competition for players to design them a new attraction.

The company said it's offering £500 to whoever can design the best new attraction for a holiday park, "whether it’s a pool, a caravan or something entirely different". It says your entries could range from "sky-scraping roller coasters to adrenaline-pumping water slides".

Entries can be submitted via Parkdean's website. They don't need to be realistic, but the company wants you to write a short description of your creation and of why you think it would, hypothetically, improve its parks.

The competition is open to UK residents over 18; parents can submit entries on the behalf of their children. The closing date is May 16 at 11:59pm, so you haven't got long!

Parkdean Resorts claims it is the UK's largest holiday park operator, with 67 parks across Britain. It was formed in 2015 following the merger of Parkdean Holidays and Park Resorts.

Minecraft was released in 2011 and has gone on to become the best selling video game of all time, with over 200 million copies sold.
