River City Bangkok invites everyone to escape the chaos and reconnect with themselves during "Anapanasati", which will kick off tomorrow and run daily from 10am to 8pm until Sept 28.
This is Thailand's first immersive mindfulness exhibition that steps beyond the conventional framework of art exhibitions to create an urban oasis, offering a new kind of wellness experience.
The RCB Galleria 3 on the 2nd floor will be transformed into a space that responds to the emotional fatigue of modern life, allowing visitors to deeply explore, feel and reconnect with their own mindfulness.
The distinctiveness of this exhibition lies in breaking down the traditional belief that transquillity, mindfulness practice or spirituality are merely strict religious dimensions or inaccessible abstractions.
The show offers a groundbreaking reinterpretation by taking traditions and conceptual beliefs that Thais have grown up with and psychologically decoding them into a newly crafted experiential journey.
Visitors will be guided through eight distinct zones designed to fully integrate the science of art with immersive presentation technologies, including emotion-reflecting lighting design, comforting sound therapy and thought-provoking installation.
They come from the visions of five leading Thai designers and artists -- Pantira Nichyasureekul from Command N Design Center; Parrin Whanipattarangkun, a sculptor from Dawnswork; Sarran Youkongdee, owner of Sarran brand; Teerachai Suppameteekulwat, founder of Qualy brand and Tanith Vachiraprakanskul, founder of Moho Studio.
Visitors will not merely be observers standing and looking at art; they will step in to participate, feel and experience the release of the heaviness in their hearts.
Every step within this space is designed to bring them back to self-awareness and help them truly embrace the present moment.
