Police have launched an investigation after shop staff were threatened with petrol during an attempted robbery in Milton.
On Monday afternoon, a man made his way into the G101 store on Liddlesdale Avenue in the north of Glasgow and threw around petrol before fleeing towards Scalpay Street.
Police confirmed no-one was injured, nor was anything stolen, as they appeal for the public's help in tracing the suspect, issuing a description of him.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries are underway following the report of an attempted robbery at the G101 shop in Liddesdale Avenue in Glasgow.
"Around 4.40pm on Monday, 1 June, 2020, a man entered the shop and threatened staff by throwing petrol in the premises.
"Nobody was injured, and nothing was stolen. The man left the shop and headed towards Scalpay Street.
"The man is described as being white, Scottish, and was wearing a grey coloured hooded jumper with the hood up, black coloured jogging bottoms with green and white stripes running down the legs, white trainers, and had the lower half of his face covered with a scarf or a snood.
"Officers are carrying out door to door enquiries and CCTV in the area is being reviewed.
"Anyone who was in the area and saw anything which might assist in this investigation is asked to call police on the 101 number, quoting the reference number 2677 of 1 June 2020.
"Anyone who wishes to pass on information and remain anonymous can do so through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
