A further two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was knifed to death in Milton Keynes, police said.
Thames Valley Police were called to reports of an altercation between a group of men in a woodland area near to the Fishermead estate at about 3.20pm on Wednesday.
A man in his 20s received stab wounds and died at the scene. A post-mortem found the cause of death was a stab wound to the right thigh.
Five men who were arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday remain in police custody, and officers said a further two men were held on suspicion of murder on Thursday.
A police cordon on H6 Childs Way, between Saxon Gate and Secklow Gate, is likely to remain in place for some time, police said.
Detective Inspector Sally Spencer, senior investigating officer, said police were following a number of lines of inquiry and appealed for witnesses.
"This incident happened in the afternoon in an area where people often walk, so we would ask you to please get in touch if you have any information, no matter how insignificant you think it might be," she said.
"Members of the public will see an increased presence whilst we continue to investigate and extra patrols will be carried out in the area.
"We would ask anyone with any concerns to please speak to one of our officers."
