Miltiadis Marinakis sends message Nottingham Forest fans will love to hear

Miltiadis Marinakis has challenged Nottingham Forest fans to fill the City Ground once again on Tuesday night.

Forest host Sheffield United, with the sides only separated in the Championship table by goals scored.

A win would provide a huge boost to the momentum built by head coach Steve Cooper in his tenure so far.

Under the new coach, Forest have picked up 14 points from a possible 21, including big wins away at Barnsley and Birmingham City.

Marinakis, son of Forest owner Evangelos, has been impressed by the size of crowds who have flocked to the City Ground in recent weeks.

He has issued a plea for Forest fans to keep it going ahead of tomorrow night's match.

"Can we get another full capacity crowd tomorrow?" Marinakis asked on Twitter.

He followed with a claim Forest fans will love: "The best fans in England!"

Meanwhile, Cooper is confident there is still plenty more to come from his Forest side, as he strives for perfection.

“We’re still at the start of getting to where we want to be. And we’ll never get there because I want perfection,” he told NottinghamshireLive. “We’ll keep striving for it. We’ll always strive for it.

“I’m happy with how the players are applying their work, and some of the things we’re seeing in games.

“But I also know there’s a long way to go before we really see the team at the level I want it to be.

“Hopefully we get there. There’s no guarantees of that, either. But we’ll certainly work hard.”
