Miltiadis Marinakis revs up Nottingham Forest fans with 'superb' message after Swansea City win

Miltiadis Marinakis took to social media to send Nottingham Forest supporters a key message after the Reds' latest victory.

Steve Cooper's side moved to within four points of the Championship play-offs following an emphatic 4-1 win at Swansea City.

Philip Zinckernagel and Lewis Grabban got the scoreboard rolling for Forest in a lightning fast start to the second half before being pegged back by a Joel Piroe strike.

Brennan Johnson restored the Reds' two-goal advantage when he pounced on a loose ball spilled by goalkeeper Ben Hamer before Cafu added a fourth for Forest in stoppage-time.

Miltiadis, son of Forest owner Evangelos, posted on Twitter a 19-second video of Forest's fans and players at full-time, captioned with: "Great performance, superb support. Let’s keep going! #NFFC"

The club have been boosted by the continued involvement of Evangelos Marinakis behind the scenes, with plans to redevelop the City Ground as well as the Reds' Wilford Lane training centre.

"I think it’s really important," said head coach Steve Cooper of the two projects. "We don’t go wanting for anything here, that’s for sure.

"Are there some things which could be better? Yeah, there are. There’s nothing that stops us from doing a good job, but there is some stuff which could be improved on.

"Okay, my domain, if you like, is the training ground - and if the club are looking to invest and improve the training facilities, then that can only be a positive thing, especially in this time when money is probably not the easiest to spend in football.

"We’ve got an owner who really wants to improve all areas of the club. That’s a real positive message.

"From our point of view, it shows we’ve got a plan here, we’ve got a long-term strategy, and improving the facilities is an important part of that."
