Milngavie trains disrupted by signalling fault

Trains running to and from Milngavie have been disrupted by a signalling fault this morning.

ScotRail confirmed the issue between Milngavie and Westerton, at Hillfoot, with engineers heading to site to rectify the issue.

Disruption is expected to last until 7.45am.

ScotRail said on Twitter: "Our colleagues @NetworkRailSCOT have advised of a signalling fault between Milngavie and Westerton.

"Engineers have been mobilised and will arrive on site shortly.

"Once we have more information from the ground we will keep you updated."

Further detail on the ScotRail website advises: "Train services running to and from these stations will be delayed or revised. Disruption is expected to last until around 07:45 today."
