Milngavie skate park stabbing sees 15-year-old rushed to hospital

A 15-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Milngavie yesterday evening.

Police and emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident within the skate park area of Lennox Park around 6pm.

The teenager was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Police sealed off the entrance to the park following the incident, with enquiries ongoing as they pursue "a positive line of enquiry".

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Daily Record: Around 6pm on Sunday, 14 June , 2020, a 15-year-old male youth was assaulted within the skate park area of Lennox Park, Milngavie.

"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries.

"Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.

"Police enquiries are continuing and they are following a positive line of enquiry."
