Milngavie Road crash sees schoolboy taken to hospital after collision with car

A schoolboy is in hospital after a crash on Milngavie Road.

Police were called to the crash involving a car and a teenager shortly after 4.30pm in Milngavie this afternoon.

The 15-year-old was taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and thankfully his injuries are not deemed to be life threatening.

Police confirmed the driver of the car stopped at the scene and that a report into the incident will be submitted.

A Police Scotland spokesperson advised: "We were called at 4.37pm on Friday, 5 November to reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Main Road, Milngavie.

"A 15-year-old boy was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

"His injuries have been assessed as non-life-threatening.

"The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

"Officers will submit a crash report."
