Millwall suffer Kenneth Zohore injury blow with on-loan West Brom striker set for eight weeks out

Millwall boss Gary Rowett has been handed a desperate injury blow with on-loan striker Kenneth Zohore expected to miss around two months through injury.

Rowett is already without Tottenham loanee Troy Parrott, who could return after the international break.

And with Zohore's loan from West Brom running only until mid-January, his calf injury is a bitter blow.

Zohore sustained the issue in last week's win over Preston and was forced to sit out the home defeat by Huddersfield on Saturday.

Rowett's side take on Norwich, who are two points ahead of the Londoners in fourth, in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

“It’s really disappointing," said Rowett. "We feared the worst when it first happened.

"He got to 70 minutes [against Preston] and the plan was always to try and get him off around then – but he was fine.

“He’s chested the ball down and landed awkwardly on his other calf. It looks like he is going to be out for about eight weeks.

"When you think about the likes of Troy Parrott and Ken Zohore, you’re hoping they could be the difference in the final third for us – or at least some very good Championship options.

"Both have been unavailable, pretty much, for the games.

"Troy isn’t far off but to lose Ken for that period of time – particularly after he performed so well at Preston – we’re going to have to crack on without him for the time being.”
