The 22-year-old's contract at Fir Park expires this summer and 'Well gaffer Graham Alexander has already conceded their lynchpin will be heading for pastures new.

And the Sun on Sunday are reporting English Championship side Millwall - who have been linked with a move for the player before - and League One outfit Blackpool are "battling" it out with the likes of Luton Town to secure his services for next season.

Campbell, who came through the youth academy at Fir Park, has played his final game for the Steelmen after he didn't feature in the squad for today's noon kick-off against Ross County in the final Scottish Premiership match of the season.

Earlier this week, Alexander told how the club did their best to keep their star man but admitted they fighting a losing battle.

He conceded: "I know the reasons why, and I can understand the reasons why, as an ex-player myself [why he is leaving. We had a great chat the other week, he was honest as he always is, and I could see his perspective, so he will be leaving in the summer and I hope he gets the best club he can."
