Millionaire player stuns fans with 'amazing' comeback to win £125k

A Who Wants to Be a Millionaire contestant left viewers and host Jeremy Clarkson stunned tonight as he managed to walk away with £125,000.

Many viewers were quick to write Connor Kim off as he used his lifelines on early questions and he thought Keith Chegwin was in the Rolling Stones.

But he swiftly improved and made a number of lucky guesses to reach the £250,000 question.

Jeremy admitted he never thought Connor would get that far and said: "This is fantastic, this is great, I'm thrilled for you I genuinely am."

The question was about chemistry and different substances and after weighing it up Connor decided to take the £125,000 he had earned.

Jeremy said: "That's fine I don't blame you, what can I say you have been extremely memorable, I'm absolutely delighted you are leaving here with £125k."

And viewers watching at home were also quick to congratulate Connor on his performance.

Lorraine said: "Amazing amount of money. Well done Connor. You've been fantastic to watch."

Another said: "Flipping hell, well done Connor, this has been amazing."

Joshua Jones said: "Gotta be one of the most entertaining contestants I've possibly EVER WATCHED on #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire! Still can't believe he's just walked away with £125,000 in his pocket after using 2 lifelines back-to-back on the first 2 questions! Unbelievable!"

Logan said: "Contestant on #whowantstobeamillionaire; -Uses two lifelines on first two questions -Wins £125,000 Priceless television..."

And Andrew Beeres said: "That was one of the best comebacks in tv history I don’t think even he can believe it."
