A Bootle man who scooped £1m has said he will continue to work but has a few plans for his fortune.
Geoff pocketed the massive sum after his horse was the first to pass the post in the Imperial Cup at Sandown racecourse.
The 50-year-old was part of Paddy Power's Millionaire Chase beating several finalists who were each represented by a horse in the big race.
The lucky winner said he would use the money to fund a house extension after his home was broken into three months ago.
The Sefton man also intends to splash out on a holiday once lockdown restrictions have eased.
Geoff said: "We're going to go on a big holiday now when they let us first.
"We can't wait."
Although he's not in a rush to spend his winnings, his wife has other plans.
The husband said: "The wife is trying to spend the million already, so I need to keep her in check."

The lorry driver said that he still plans to keep working, but is considering dropping to a reduced work week.
He said: "Ideally now I'd love to go to a three-day week on the lorries now."
He hadn't had much luck with racing in the past, saying "I couldn't pick my nose normally!" but is ecstatic with his winnings.
Geoff said: "It's amazing what it'll do for our life.
"I felt like the coolest man in the world until about midday and then I was massively nervous.
"I couldn't stop shaking.
"The feeling even now is incredible."
The dad felt that after tragically losing his son to cancer, the win was "meant to be".
Geoff said: "We lost our son eight years ago to cancer when he was just 18 years old, this is a life-changing amount of money and it felt like it was just meant to be."
