Millionaire Britney Spears applauded for wearing bargain £28 dress

Britney Spears has delighted fans by proving that despite her millions, she still shops on the virtual highstreet.

Fans spotted the Toxic star, who is worth millions, wearing a pretty black dress from online retailer PrettyLittleThing.

She looked every-inch the style icon in a black lace dress with frill detailing and long sleeves.

The garment cost a purse-friendly £28 in the sale.

Britney was labelled "iconic" as she posed in the high-street outfit, with one hand on her hip.

It appears her followers were loving the idea that she was wearing an inexpensive dress.

A fan account for the star, which uploaded the original snap, wrote: "Britney Spears being a millionaire and shopping at pretty little thing just like we all do. Iconic."

While another simply shared: "Humble queen."

And a third clapped: "She's such a humbled, down to earth superstar! @OfficialPLT "

Britney has made millions from her pop career and she's estimated to be worth a cool £47 million but her money is held by a conservatorship run by her father Jamie.

She's said to be given an income of around £8,000 per month.

The dress dropped down by 20% on the PLT website (prettylittlething.com)

Britney's conservatorship has been running for 12 years after a judge handed control of her affairs over to her dad back in 2008.

It followed a series of public breakdowns and meant her estate and all her financial assets were put the under control of her dad.

Following the last review, it's conservatorship has been extended to least August this year.
