Hilary Swank recently revealed she is pregnant with twins, with the Hollywood star now sharing their very poignant due date.
The PS I Love You actress, 48, said her "miracle" babies will share a very special link to her late father, Stephen Michael Swank, who sadly died in October last year.
Hilary had been her dad's sole carer for several years before his death, after he became the recipient of a lung transplant.
The mother-to-be has now said her twins are due on April 16 in a preview for Friday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. Host Drew then asked about Hilary's father's passing.
"They’re due on his birthday," Hilary said as her eyes welled up with tears.
The film star announced her pregnancy on Good Morning America on Wednesday as she said she was "far enough along" in her second trimester to go public.
"This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time, and my next thing is I’m gonna be a mom. And not just of one but of two."
She added: "It's so nice to be able to talk about it and share it."
Soon after, Hilary clarified on Live With Kelly And Ryan that she is pregnant with twins and said she felt it was a "miracle".
On Instagram she pointed to her baby bump and wrote: "Coming soon…DOUBLE feature!"
Hilary's famous friends rushed to congratulate the star, with Katie Couric writing: "Congratulations!!!! So so happy for you."
Tabitha Brown commented: "Congratulations honey!!!!!!" and Dave Karger added: "You’re already a wonderful mom to your fur babies…this is the best next chapter!"
Hilary’s news comes four years after she tied the knot with husband Philip Schneider. Speaking to hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, she said twins run in both her family and Philip's.
She said: "It's such a blessing. It's a total miracle. It's unbelievable."
Hilary was previously married to Chad Lowe from 1997 to 2007, and she had spoken to People about her family plans before splitting from the actor.
"I definitely would like kids someday," she said in 2006. "That’s definitely something that I’ve always thought about as a very, very young girl."
After their divorce the following year, the Million Dollar Baby actress moved on with agent John Campisi and athlete Ruben Torres.
She began dating Philip in 2016.
