Millie Mackintosh shares breastfeeding woes as baby battles reflux and tongue-tie

Millie Mackintosh has spoken candidly about life as a new mum and admitted that breastfeeding her second child has not been easy.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 32, gave birth to her daughter Aurelia in November and revealed the baby is battling reflux, vomiting and tongue-tie.

Tongue-tie is where the strip of skin connecting the baby's tongue to the bottom of their mouth is shorter than usual.

Sharing a picture of her nursing her daughter, Millie - who also has daughter Sienna, 19 months, with husband Hugo Taylor - wrote: "I feel very lucky that Aurelia has taken to breastfeeding and I really cherish the one on one time, but it hasn’t been plain sailing so far!

'We’re currently navigating reflux, projectile vomiting and tongue tie. Pair that with engorgement, over (and uneven) supply, cluster feeding, sleepless nights and well it’s a lot. To other mums in the newborn bubble right now, I see you! We got this.

"We’re still finding our feet, but once we have it figured out a little more I’ll definitely share more about our journey."

Millie's husband Hugo showed his wife support responding to the post saying: "You are doing an amazing job! So proud of you. X'

The influencer, who was previously married to Professor Green, later took part in a Q&A on Instagram in which she told fans she used a breast pump after the morning feed.

She explained: "I then give Aurelia a bottle in the early evening when I'm most tired and my supply is low especially if she wants to cluster feed.

"It also means someone else can feed her so if I want to go out for a few hours without her I have some freedom."

The former reality regular was also asked whether she found it harder coping with two children or with her first baby.

Millie mused: 'I found it harder going from nought to one than from one to two.

"But I have had lots of help which has meant I can rest and focus on my recovery and getting breastfeeding established."

Millie told fans she had a "wonderful daytime nanny" and also has help a few nights a week so she can catch up on her sleep and recover.

The mum-of-two had a C-section with both her daughters and revealed she'd been told she couldn't lift her daughter Sienna for six weeks.

She also recalled the sweet moment the sisters met each other for the first time.

She gushed: "Hugo carried Aurelia in her car seat and we put her on the floor so Sienna could come say hi but didn't make a big fuss. She kept saying baby and came over and gave her a kiss.

"It was one of my favourite moments since becoming a parent."
