Millie Bobby Brown 'writing and recording' as she chases music career amid lockdown

Millie Bobby Brown has revealed she is hard at work making music while filming for Stranger Things is on hold.

The 16-year-old British actress is eying up the charts while being forced to put her acting career on hold amid the ongoing coronavirus epidemic.

Millie, who plays super powered hero Eleven on the hit Netflix show, teased last year that she wanted to step into the music world to become a double threat after proving her acting chops.

And now that she is isolating at home amid social distancing procedures, the teen is making the most of her time by working on some tunes with her brother Charlie in their home studio.

“Me and my brother are always in the studio recording stuff and writing stuff,” she said on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night as she appeared via video link from her American home in Georgia.

Last October it was revealed that Millie aimed to take on the charts.

“Millie is brilliantly talented. She has millions of Stranger Things fans but also has a passion for singing,” a source told The Sun at the time.

“She already has at least seven songs she loves but isn’t planning to release anything until after she turns 16 in February, partly as her schedule is crazy,” they continued.

Millie certainly has the time to complete an album now as she confirmed filming of Stranger Things is on hold due to the pandemic.

“We stopped filming, we already shot two weeks in Lithuania, not me but the crew. We were just about to get into but for everyone's safety we have stopped,” she told Jimmy Fallon.

“We're ready to go as soon as this is all over!” she added.

Stranger Things – which also stars acting legend Winona Ryder – had started filming season four before coronavirus safety measures closed down production.

The show is due to film in Vilnius, Lithuania, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, while the release date had planned to be in the 2020-2021 television season, but with filming on hold, the ultimate release date is unknown.
