Millie Bobby Brown hits Stranger Things red carpet with boyfriend Jake Bongiovi

New York hosted the season 4 premiere of the eagerly-awaited Stranger Things on Saturday and it was one of the show’s stars, Millie Bobby Brown, who grabbed all the headlines.

The 18-year-old, who plays Eleven in the popular sci-fi horror TV drama, looked all grown up as she turned up for the occasion with Jake Bongiovi, son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi.

Millie was just 12 when first cast in the Netflix-streamed programme as a girl with telepathic and psychokinetic abilities with fans of the show seeing her grow up both on and off the screen.

And the star delighted fans on Saturday night when she and Jake walked the red carpet together – after the couple became an item in November last year.

Stranger Things fans rushed to Twitter following the season four premiere event to convey their thoughts on the twice Emmy-nominated actress – with many commenting how grown up she looks.

One commentator said: She’s stunning, but she looks 40 not 18.”

Another follower added: “She’s grown up so much. It makes me cry, where did the time go?”, while there was also, “Literally thought this was a 35-year-old woman at first.”

Dressed in a one-shouldered, white satin Louis Vuitton gown, with 20-year-old Jake in a black suit jacket, matching trousers and a white turtleneck sweater, the two of them looked the perfect couple as they joined other stars from the show, including Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Noah Schnapp and Gaten Matarazzo on the red carpet.

Millie and Jake became Instagram-official in November 2021 when they posed for a snap on the London Eye ferris wheel. They finally made their red carpet debut in March at the 2022 BAFTAs in London.

Trying to outdo Millie was David Harbour, who plays the role of Jim Hopper, as he posed with wife Lily Allen. He wore an incredible Stranger Things suit, with images from the drama embroidered all over, although one wag on social media described him as “a dad on a date”.

Millie has previously admitted that season four, which is scheduled for release on May 27, was the toughest of the lot to film, telling Collider: “This has definitely been the hardest season I’ve ever filmed. And there have been some of the scariest things that I’ve ever seen as a human, which you guys will get to see for sure.”
