"We are not as good as you think," confide the two performers at the start of this comedy-theatre piece from Spanish company Pez En Raya. For quite a while it seems as if they might prove themselves wrong with an engaging and eccentrically surreal performance that plays with both the absurdities of life and the absurdities of theatre and performance.
Cristina Medina and Joan Estrader have pints of charm and they milk their scenario about the havoc caused in a small village when Tracy the Cow is possessed by the devil pretty successfully for the first half-an-hour.
But the inventiveness of the earlier sequences prove impossible to sustain, and before long the duo's own predictions are coming all too true.
"If anyone sees the plot, please give it to the writer," they declare at one point. That sums up a show that is definitely semi-skimmed rather than full-fat comedy gold-top.
