Canberra's aviation watchers will be in for a treat over the weekend with a low jet flypast scheduled for the capital.
Two F-35A Lightning II fighter jets will make the flypast on Sunday between 9.40am and 10.25am.
The aircraft will travel from east to west across Canberra's skies, reaching speeds of up to 850km/h and flying as low as 150 metres above the ground.
A Defence spokesman said the flypast would be part of further training for air force members based in NSW.
"The flypast will also provide training benefit for No. 3 Squadron based at RAAF Base Williamtown," the spokesman said.
"The planning and execution of precision-timed formation flying is a core military aviation skill."
The flypast will be to coincide with this years Australian Defence Force Academy Graduation Parade.
The impact of COVID-19 has meant family and friends of graduating officers won't be able to attend this year's parade.
The event will instead by livestreamed via Facebook.
