Milford Haven waterfront hotel awarded four-star rating within weeks of opening

A new waterfront hotel in West Wales has been awarded a four-star grading within a weeks of opening.

The Tŷ Hotel Milford Waterfront, which opened its doors last month in the centre of tourist development, Milford Waterfront, received the high rating from Visit Wales after its first assessment.

The report commended the impressive "buzz and vibe" that the hotel, which is managed and operated by The Celtic Collection team who also run the Celtic Manor Resort, had been able to create in a short space of time.

It added that the hotel would be a welcome addition to the Visit Wales portfolio.

Housekeeping and food in Dulse, the hotel's brasserie restaurant, scored the highest marks for its flavoursome, quality ingredients which had been excellently cooked by executive head chef Simon Crockford and his team.

Staff received strong feedback for their hospitality, friendliness, service and efficiency as well as the quality and maintenance of rooms and facilities.

The 100 bedrooms were described as well styled and furnished with quality beds, bedding and linen.

Hotel manager Adrian Andrews said: “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved a four-star grading from Visit Wales so soon after opening. The high scores and feedback from the assessment surpassed our expectations and are a testament to how hard the whole team has worked to deliver on the vision behind the development of this fantastic hotel."

Mr Andrews added: “It has been a very busy time putting the final preparations in place and then opening the doors to welcome our first guests but it has been an exciting time, too. We have also enjoyed some wonderful comments and thank yous from those who have come to stay and dine with us during our first month.

“We look forward to building on this brilliant start and continuing to deliver exceptional guest experiences at this beautiful location on Milford Waterfront.”

Owned by the Port of Milford Haven, the Tŷ Hotel Milford Waterfront is a 46,000 sq ft building which features floor-to-ceiling windows offering views overlooking Milford Marina.

The hotel was a part of a multi-million pound regeneration project led by the Port and features a brasserie restaurant and bar, fitness suite and private dining room and hopes to attract new tourists to Milford Haven and Pembrokeshire.

The development created 40 permanent operational jobs and more in the supply chain when it opened.

Tŷ Hotel rooms are available to book now with rates starting at £86 for bed & breakfast per room, per night.
