The 2024 Grammys have come to a close, leaving us with a night filled with stellar performances and well-deserved winners. This year, the awards were spread out among several artists, songs, and albums, with no single dominating force taking the spotlight. It was a moment of triumph for many artists who took home their first-ever Grammy awards, while others added to their already impressive collection of accolades. Let's take a closer look at five artists who emerged as first-time Grammy winners in 2024.

Miley Cyrus, a pop star with a career spanning over a decade, finally received the critical recognition many believed she deserved. At the 2024 Grammys, Cyrus claimed not just one, but two trophies. Her single 'Flowers' won her the Best Pop Solo Performance award, and later in the evening, she took home the prestigious Record of the Year, which is widely considered the highest honor at the Grammys.

Zach Bryan, an emerging Americana/country artist, has quickly risen to stardom and now boasts a Grammy win. While he wasn't nominated for Best New Artist or Album of the Year, as some argued he should have been, Bryan found success in a different category. He and collaborator Kacey Musgraves won the Best Country Duo/Group Performance award for their single 'I Remember Everything.' This first Grammy win follows Bryan's previous nomination last year for Best Country Solo Performance with 'Something in the Orange.'

Victoria Monét, with one of the highest number of nominations at the Grammys this year, walked away as one of the top winners of the night. Her breakout album Jaguar II earned her both the Best R&B Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical awards. In addition, Monét secured the title of Best New Artist, beating out fellow newcomers like Ice Spice and Noah Kahan. While this marked Monét's first appearance as an artist at the Grammy Awards, she had previously been nominated three times, including for Record and Song of the Year for her work with Ariana Grande.

Lil Durk, one of rap's hottest new names, not only achieved massive success but also received his first Grammy win. Alongside J. Cole, Lil Durk won the Best Melodic Rap Performance award for their collaboration on the single 'All My Life.' Durk has previously been nominated for three Grammy awards, including Album of the Year as a featured artist on Kanye West's album Donda.

Brandy Clark, one of the most nominated women in country and Americana music, entered the 2024 Grammys with a disappointing record of 17 nominations without a win. However, luck finally turned in her favor in the pre-show ceremony, where she was announced as the winner of the Best Americana Performance award alongside Brandi Carlile. While she was also a contender for other honors that went to different artists, this long-awaited victory marked a significant milestone in Clark's career.

The 2024 Grammys showcased a diverse range of artists leaving with their first-ever Grammy wins. From established stars like Miley Cyrus and Brandy Clark to promising newcomers like Zach Bryan, Victoria Monét, and Lil Durk, these artists have undoubtedly made their mark on the music industry. As they celebrate their well-deserved successes, we eagerly anticipate the next chapter in their musical journeys.
