Miley Cyrus 'splits from Cody Simpson so she can focus on herself'

It appears to be all over between Miley Cyrus and boyfriend Cody Simpson.

Since she parted from girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter after their short-lived romance fizzled out, the Australian musician seemed to have won her heart.

But reports in America say their relationship is dead in the water.

It's claimed Miley, 26, wants to "focus on herself" after her shock divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth, 29, six months ago.

An insider told Radar Online : "They are taking a break, but want to remain friends.

“She said she just needs to focus on herself.”

Cody admitted a few weeks in that he had a crush on her since he was 12-years-old.

The 22-year-old singer said in October that he is "very, very happy' with his relationship with Miley.

The source added: "This romance with Cody and constant ‘look at me’ behavior is all designed to push Liam’s buttons.

"To be fair it’s always worked in the past because he’s a good guy who ultimately loves her.

"But now he’s just rolling his eyes and washing his hands of her, even as a friend, which of course is driving Miley nuts."

Liam, though, appears to be moving on.

It is claimed he has begun seeing Australian actress Maddison Brown, 22.

They were seen holding hands in New York recently and sources suggest they are growing close very quickly.
