The 22-year-old singer has revealed he is "very, very happy' with his relationship with Miley Cyrus - a woman he has had a crush on since he was 12.
The loved-up couple were just friends for a decade as she was in an on-off relationship with Australian actor Liam Hemsworth who later became her husband.
But following their split after just six-months of wedded bliss they have finally got it together.
Miley had a brief fling with Kaitlyn Carter before hooking up with Cody.
A newly resurfaced video from 2012 has proved that teen sensation Cody has always had feelings for the Hannah Montana star.
Cody was at a star-studded launch of Tiffany & Co. Mens line in Los Angeles on Friday, when he told People : "The reason why it hasn't been a really crazy sudden thing is just because we’ve been friends for so long."
Such is his fondness of Miley he is planning to release a song he penned for her while she was in hospitalised with tonsillitis.
He has already teased his fans by sharing an excerpt of the new track on Instagram .
"She’s pretty much forcing me to put it out," he said.
"She was like, ‘If you don’t put this s*** out, I’m putting it out on your behalf for you. I’m getting your Spotify login and doing this s*** myself.”
