Miley Cyrus re-imagines 'Santa Baby' as feminist anthem

Miley Cyrus has put a feminist spin on the iconic Christmas song “Santa Baby”.

Appearing on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show, the singer decided to change the lyrics to include references to equal pay and wanting sexual harassment in the workplace to be stomped out.

“Santa Baby, I don’t need any fancy jewelry / Not me / I’ve got something else in mind,” she sang, later declaring: “I can buy my own damn stuff.”

While Cyrus lounges on a sofa, Fallon and Mark Ronson – who collaborated with Cyrus on “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” – stumble around, unsure what to do now they cannot just buy Cyrus’s affection.

The two interrupt Cyrus at one point; after she sings "Stop interrupting me when I talk and don't text me pictures of your—" Ronson's phone goes off, preventing her. Watch the full performance below.

Cyrus and Ronson have been busy promoting their collaboration, recently appearing on The Graham Norton Show and Saturday Night Live.
