Miley Cyrus dropped massive hint about Liam Hemsworth split before it was announced

Miley Cyrus ditched her wedding ring hours before her split from Liam Hemsworth was confirmed.

The pop star's marriage appears to be over as she's confirmed she's separated from the Aussie hunk.

However, eagle-eyed fans might have spotted a huge clue about her single status hours before the announcement as Miley, 26, ditched her wedding ring.

In an Instagram picture posted on Saturday - hours before the split was confirmed - Miley was seen looking pensive in a black outfit with a bare left hand.

Since news of the couple's separation broke, Miley has since been pictured snogging pal Kaitlynn Carter during a sun-soaked break in Italy.

The pair are on holiday with Miley's younger sister Brandi and they have been sharing plenty of pictures from their hotel on Lake Como.
