Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth split: Brody Jenner told to 'cool off' after Kaitlynn Carter 'kiss' joke

Miley Cyrus has hit back at Brody Jenner after he made a joke about her split from husband Liam Hemsworth.

Cyrus and Hemsworth’s representatives confirmed over the weekend that the couple, who married last December, have “agreed to separate.”

The singer has since been photographed ‘kissing’ Jenner’s ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter on a holiday in Lake Como, Italy.

Jenner, who is Caitlyn Jenner’s son and a former step-brother to the Kardashian-Jenner siblings, split from Carter earlier this month, one year after they married in Indonesia.

Shortly after the images emerged, The Hills star shared a picture of himself looking pensive on a hilltop with the caption: “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”

Alluding to the recent photos in an Instagram comment, his Hills co-star Brandon Lee wrote: “Let’s round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out.”

Jenner responded with: “Watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon.”

Cyrus then waded in, telling the reality star: “Go take a nap in your truck and cool off.”

The 26-year-old previously broke her social media silence following the split with a cryptic Instagram post, showing her stood in front of a mountain.

“Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win,” she wrote on Sunday night.

“Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable.

“The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed.”

Cyrus and Hemsworth, 29, dated on and off for almost a decade before getting married in a secret Tennessee ceremony last December.

Asking for fans to “respect their process and privacy” in the wake of the split, their representatives said that the couple were “ever-evolving” and had “decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.”
