Miley Cyrus has addressed the rumoured feud between herself and parents — Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus — in an Instagram story published on Saturday.
“I rarely comment on rumours, but my mama and I are too close for anything to ever come between us,” Cyrus wrote.
Cyrus’ comments refer to her mother unfollowing her daughter’s Instagram account on Wednesday, after Billy Ray shared an old video of Cyrus and mentioned the two will be seeing each other soon.

“Can’t wait to see this young lady,” Billy Ray captioned the video. “Crazy how time flies.”
Tish would soon re-follow her daughter’s account, and stated in an Instagram comment that she had “no idea how that happened”.
“It’s fixed now!” she clarified.
The 57-year-old also made a statement on X, mentioning that herself and her daughter were closer than ever.
“I would never unfollow Miley, [she] and I are as close as we’ve always been. Period,” she tweeted.

In Cyrus’ Instagram story, she also clarified the mistake of her mother accidentally unfollowing her.
“She’s my best friend,” Cyrus continued.
“Like a lot of mums, she doesn’t know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me — simple, coincidental, and uninteresting.”
“My dad and I have had our challenges over the years.
“Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing.”

Cyrus ended her post by stating she is “grateful” for her family.
Earlier this year in January, insiders for the “Flowers” singer and Hannah Montana alum revealed that she hadn’t had a relationship with her father for “a long time” and that she had “no interest” in fixing the relationship.
The pair were recently seen together posing for a photo, alongside brother Braison Cyrus for his birthday.
