Miles Teller has praised Michael B. Jordan after the actor won the Best Actor award at the 2026 Academy Awards

Miles Teller has praised Michael B. Jordan after the actor won the Best Actor award at the 2026 Academy Awards.

The actor, 39, shared a message of support for Michael B. Jordan, also 39, following the actor’s win for Best Actor at the Oscars on Sunday (15.03.26) for his work in Sinners – marking his first nomination at the Academy Awards and his first win. Later that evening, Miles posted a throwback photograph of the two actors together on social media.

In the image, Miles and Michael are seen making playful faces toward the camera.

The pair previously worked together on two films – the 2014 romantic comedy That Awkward Moment and the 2015 superhero film Fantastic Four.

Their professional relationship dates back more than a decade, with both actors appearing alongside Zac Efron in That Awkward Moment, which follows three friends navigating romantic relationships and adulthood together.

They later reunited in Fantastic Four, where Miles played Reed Richards and Michael portrayed Johnny Storm.

Miles wrote alongside the photograph: “What’s up, Blue!!!! So proud of my guy @michaelb4jordan. Top of the mountain.”

Michael’s award recognised his performance in Sinners, a horror film directed by Ryan Coogler, a longtime collaborator of Michael’s.

In the film, Michael plays dual roles as twin brothers Smoke and Stack.

The cast also includes Wunmi Mosaku and Hailee Steinfeld.

During his acceptance speech at the ceremony, Michael thanked his co-stars while reflecting on their work together during production.

Michael said: “Wunmi, thank you so much for giving Smoke an opportunity to be him.”

He added: “Hailee at home – you know she's getting ready to have a baby right now – thank you so much for being the other half of Stack.”

Michael continued by thanking supporters who had followed his career in film and television.

He added: “Thank you, everybody in this room and everybody at home for supporting me over my career.

“I feel it. I know you guys want me to do well, and I want to do that because you guys bet on me.”

Actors Miles and Michael reunited after That Awkward Moment for Fantastic Four, in which they appeared alongside Kate Mara and Jamie Bell.

Following the ceremony, Michael was later seen celebrating his win by visiting In-N-Out while holding the Oscar statuette.
