Miles Sanders accomplished a feat not done since Adrian Peterson’s rookie season

There’s been some debate on the topic of whether or not Miles Sanders deserves serious consideration for the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

The Eagles rookie running back started off slow but has found his footing in a huge way over the past three weeks. Prior to exiting last Sunday’s win over Buffalo with a shoulder injury, Sanders had three carries for 74 yards and one rushing touchdown. As a pass-catcher, Sanders tacked on three catches for 44 yards against the Bills stout defense.

Sanders leads ALL NFL rookies with 709 all-purpose yards. Sanders is now the first NFL running back since Adrian Peterson, to amass 500+ scrimmage yards & 250+ return yards in his first 8 career games.

Sanders is currently the only NFL rookie this season, with 200+ rush yards & 200+ rec. yards as well.
