Miles Morales does NOT appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home

Now Endgame is out of the way, fans are clamouring for more MCU.

The latest trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home posed some interesting questions and plot points for the first film since the epic Avengers: Endgame, leaving fans to ponder who could next show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

One character who was previously teased in Spider-Man: Homecoming and reached new levels of popularity in the Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was alternate Spidey character Miles Morales.

In the previous MCU live-action film, we met his uncle Aaron Davis, played by Donald Glover, who in Marvel Comics is better known as The Prowler and uncle to Miles.

He even mentions his nephew in the film.

However, it has now been confirmed that we should not expect Miles to show up here.

Speaking to Fandango, Far From Home director Jon Watts revealed that we should not be expecting to see Miles show up in the movie, despite revelations of a multiverse now existing following the topsy-turvy events of Endgame.

Watts revealed: "There is no Miles in this film, or at least not yet. But who knows... we edit these films down to the last second, so you never know."

So while we shouldn't expect Miles to show up, Watts didn't want to rule out an appearance entirely.

Additionally, the director revealed two Homecoming characters who we shouldn't expect to see: Vulture/Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) and Liz Toomes (Laura Harrier).

"Keaton is not in the movie, and Laura is not in the movie," added Watts.

So there we go, but there's certainly enough for Peter to contend with!

Spider-Man: Far From Home is released in UK cinemas on July 2, 2019.
