Miles Bridges named one of the five most interesting players at Summer League by The Ringer

With the departure of Kemba Walker to the Celtics, the story of the Charlotte Hornets will be about their future, and the player who has the most potential, arguably, for the Hornets is former Spartan Miles Bridges. It is now of great interest to NBA writers if Miles Bridges will be able to take the opportunity he will have with Walker’s absence to make a leap this season into a solid NBA starter. This was illustrated today by TheRinger.com’s article of the 5 most interesting Summer League players. Miles Bridges was the first player on that list.

Here is an excerpt from that piece, which I encourage you all to read:

“But Bridges is more than just an athlete. He’s an intelligent player who rarely forces bad shots and already knows how to move without the ball. He was in the 87th percentile of players in the NBA last season when scoring off cuts. That ability is what separates Bridges from Malik Monk, the no. 11 pick in the 2017 draft, who has frustrated two different head coaches (Steve Clifford and James Borrego) in his first two seasons in the NBA. Monk played less as a second-year player (17.2 minutes per game) than Bridges did as a rookie.”

Bridges has been awesome in Summer League so far, throwing down dunks and showing off some new and improved ball-handling skills. He’s also been hitting three-pointers at a high clip.

Here is a taste of the playmaking ability he’s been flashing:

Bridges will almost certainly get a chance to start this year, so for any Spartan fans like me who like to follow the guys in the pros, make sure to get your League Pass subscriptions tuned in to the Hornets this year.
